Instrument Guide

​Students are required to bring their own instruments to lessons, except for Piano, Drums and Singing Lessons.

 

Recommended instruments to bring to lessons:

 

Keyboard - 61 Keys with touch response. Students are also required to bring a pair of headphones.

We recommend purchasing or renting a keyboard from KBB music or music works.

Guitar - A suitable size guitar depending on your child's age and height. We recommend purchasing a guitar from KBB music, Rock shop, Music Works or Artist Guitars.

 

Guitar size guide:

1/2 Size Guitar - 5-8 Years, 100 - 125cm height.

3/4 Size Guitar - 8-12 Years, 125 - 165cm height.

Full Size Guitar - 12+ years, 165cm+ height.

Violin - A suitable size Violin depending on your child's age and arm length. We recommend purchasing or renting a violin from KBB music or music works.

Violin size guide:

1/4 Size Violin - 5-7 Years, 47cm arm length.

1/2 Size Violin - 7-9 Years, 51cm arm length.

3/4 Size Violin - 9-12 Years, 56cm arm length.

7/8 Size Violin - Small Teen/Adult, 56cm arm length and small hands.

Full Size Violin - 11 years to Adult, 58.5cm arm length and larger hands.

Recorder - AULOS 205 Recorder (Available to purchase from our Music School office or KBB music).

Trumpet - We recommend purchasing or renting a Trumpet from KBB music or music works.

Flute - We recommend purchasing or renting a Flute from KBB music or music works.

 

Saxophone - We recommend purchasing or renting a Saxophone from KBB music or music works.

Clarinet - We recommend purchasing or renting a Clarinet from KBB music or music works.
