Toby Barrett

Toby is a saxophone and clarinet player who teaches at Marshall Laing music school on Saturdays.

While currently finishing his studies of music at the University of Auckland, Toby is involved in Auckland’s jazz scene through performing a repertoire of jazz standards at gigs and original creative projects as a bandleader and sideman.

He has been playing saxophone for 9 years and currently teaches in local high schools and an intermediate.

Toby is passionate about music and encourages students to explore music they find most enjoyable.
